About RiseWithThem
Born from personal experience, driven by compassion, dedicated to transformation
Our Story
Founded in 2025 by Myles Mugisha Magari, a former refugee who experienced firsthand the challenges faced by displaced communities. After arriving in the United States at age 24, Myles witnessed how education and dignity could transform lives. His personal journey from refugee to college graduate ignited a passion to give back to vulnerable communities worldwide.
Our Mission
To empower vulnerable communitiesβrefugees, widows, orphans, and underprivileged youthβby providing access to education, dignity, and self-reliance opportunities. We believe that every individual deserves the chance to rise above their circumstances and create a brighter future.
Our Vision
A world where every vulnerable individual has access to education, dignity, and opportunities for self-reliance. We envision thriving communities where former refugees become leaders, where girls stay in school, and where families achieve sustainable independence.
Our Core Values
Compassion
We approach every interaction with empathy, understanding that behind every statistic is a human story worthy of dignity and respect.
Integrity
We maintain transparency in all our operations, ensuring donors and beneficiaries can trust us to use resources responsibly and effectively.
Empowerment
We don't just provide aidβwe build capacity, skills, and confidence so individuals can create their own sustainable solutions.
Inclusivity
We celebrate diversity and work to ensure our programs are accessible to all, regardless of background, religion, or circumstances.

Sarah's Journey
From Refugee to Engineer
"When I arrived in the camp at age 8, I didn't speak the language and had never been to school. RiseWithThem gave me my first backpack, books, and most importantly, hope. Today, I'm a software engineer at a tech company and sponsor three girls through the same program that changed my life."

- David O., Uganda
Zara's Impact
Staying in School Changes Everything
